Process

Drawings in. A fixed fee back. Then the work.

The sequence is the same in every state. Nothing is assessed on site, and nothing is started before the fee is fixed. Section J and residential files settle the balance at different points.

  1. 01

    Send the drawings

    Use the quote form to choose Section J, NatHERS, BASIX, or NatHERS + BASIX. Upload a file or paste a link. Include the site address and the state. A short note on what is being built or fitted out is more useful than a long covering email.

  2. 02

    Receive a fixed quote

    The fee is confirmed from the drawings before any work starts. You can stop there. Asking for a quote does not appoint the practice.

Section J

  1. Pay the deposit

    A 50% deposit is payable when you accept the quote. The balance is due before the report is released. Work starts when the deposit is paid and the drawing set is complete enough to assess.

  2. The report is prepared

    Standard turnaround is 48 to 72 hours from full drawings. Items that cannot be checked are listed, not assumed to pass.

  3. Revision and release

    One minor revision is included. A minor revision is a correction, or a small drawing change that does not add scope. A new tenancy, a different classification, or a redesigned façade is quoted again.

NatHERS and BASIX

  1. Pay the deposit

    A 50% deposit is payable to start. The balance is due on issue of the final certificates.

  2. The certificates are prepared

    Standard turnaround is about 2 to 3 business days from complete plans. Priority is +40% on our fee only. NatHERS certificates are issued through NatHERS-approved software. BASIX certificates are lodged through the BASIX portal.

  3. Revisions

    One to two minor revisions are included. A major revision is $195 per hour + GST. Quotes are valid for 30 days.
