Fit-outs of offices and shops, warehouse work, and public buildings in Classes 5, 6, 7b and 9b are the projects this practice takes, along with new buildings in those classes. Queensland building certifiers need the same thing their NSW colleagues do: a first page that states the result, the edition, and what was not checked.
Queensland moves to NCC 2025 on 1 May 2027. Until then, name the edition if the certifier has already set it. The report uses that edition rather than the date a new NCC was published nationally.
Fabric and glazing are checked against the climate zone for the site. Queensland is not one climate. A Brisbane address and a site in a hotter or cooler part of the state are assessed on the zone that belongs to that address. If the drawings do not show the build-up or the glass, the report says the item could not be closed out.
Send the architectural set, the services drawings that exist, and the suburb or address. The fixed quote comes back by email before any assessment starts.
Section J reports are From $650 inc GST. Standard turnaround is 48 to 72 hours from full drawings. The same remote service is used here as in every other state. There is no travel charge.
