The usual scope is a Class 5, 6, 7b or 9b fit-out or refurbishment, or a new building in one of those classes. A small shop alteration is not written up as if the whole base building were being reassessed, unless the drawings and the certifier’s brief actually cover that.
South Australia moves to NCC 2025 on 1 May 2027. The compliance summary names the edition for the application. If you already know whether the project is under NCC 2022 or NCC 2025, say so with the drawings. If you do not, it is confirmed before the report is issued.
The climate zone is the one for the site address. It is not borrowed from a previous Adelaide job. Glazing and lighting still need schedules: a plan without glass types or lamp wattages leaves those lines open, and the report will say so.
There is no local office in Adelaide and no travel component in the fee. The starting fee is the same published figure used for every state, and the fixed quote is set after the set is reviewed.
Section J reports are From $650 inc GST. Standard turnaround is 48 to 72 hours from full drawings. The same remote service is used here as in every other state. There is no travel charge.

NatHERS for South Australian dwellings uses the same published fees as the rest of the country. BASIX does not apply in South Australia. A single storey dwelling is $595 + GST. The figure is the national published fee, not a separate local rate.
